On December 7-9, 2023, the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) convened its Annual BIDS Conference on Development. The theme of this year's conference was development, justice, and freedom.
The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for the dissemination of research conducted by national and international scholars and engage the wider community on contemporary development issues and debates. A total of 18 papers, 5 special seminars and 7 public lectures from Bangladesh and abroad were presented at the conference.
On the second day of the conference, IFPRI researchers presented on a panel on Global Price Shocks and Food Security:
