Upon request of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Policy Support Unit (APSU), the Policy Research and Strategy Support Program (PRSSP), implemented by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), will conduct a policy study to assess the paddy price issue and identify policies to help farmers overcome low paddy prices in the future.
In September 2019, IFPRI and a local survey firm Data Analysis and Technical Assistance (DATA) will conduct a two-day survey enumerator and supervisor training for a study on rice price and procurement in Bangladesh. The training will prepare survey enumerators to conduct three surveys: one for farmers, another for rice millers, and a third for traders.
